We are fraud fighters ourselves
We started as the fraud prevention team of a EUROCARD (Mastercard) processor. After becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the performance of existing fraud prevention systems, we teamed up with an IT startup specialising in real-time AI to create our own tools. Our first deployment in Germany in 1999 replaced a leading commercial AI solution, and we instantly reduced fraud losses by 1/3 and reduced false positives by 2x.
Over the next years, we commercialised our product and deployed it with card issuers over Europe. In 2006, we broke out the fraud prevention business into its own company and founded IRIS Analytics to support our growth in the market. By 2014 we were protecting entire countries from payment fraud, so we decided to join forces with IBM and created the IBM Safer Payments offering. IBM Safer Payments quickly became a leading fraud prevention system worldwide.
In 2021, our team started to create a service offering for financial crime prevention named IRIS FraudAverse. Delivering fraud prevention as a service substantially reduces TCO, implementation time, and project risk for our clients. At the same time, it allows our core team SMEs to assist with configuration and model training. We even offer to perform continuous adaptation of configuration, models, and rules for our clients.
Today we work from 5 locations worldwide, allowing us to serve clients locally and for our support and operations to follow the sun. We are cash-flow funded and all our shares are held by active members of our core team. Head office
Located in the university city of Koblenz, Germany, our headquarters is located in a former monastery on the shore of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. We have open office spacing as well as smaller spaces for meetings and quiet working available.

Located in Sandyford, a suburb of Dublin. Sandyford Business District makes up much of the suburb and encompasses Sandyford Industrial Estate. It is the location for a number of multinational financial services and technology companies.
